The Black Shire Horse Mare is a part of the Collecta Range of horse toys which are made from the handmade scuptures of Deborah McDermont. Deborah is a sculptor living in Southern California. As a sculptor she obseves the anatomy movement and expressions of the horses as well as their unique qualities that make each horse individual.
The Shire horse was originally the staple breed used to draw carts to deliver ale from the brewery to the public houses. A few breweries still maintain this tradition in the UK.
